School Profile
Joliette High School is a public school located in Joliette, Québec. We welcome about 290 students from twenty-seven different municipalities. Whether living in rural areas or small cities, students are geographically dispersed over the vast Lanaudière region with the largest concentration of students coming from Rawdon, Lavaltrie, and Joliette. Despite the long commute for some students, they choose to attend JHS to take advantage of an English education and benefit from a sense of community and belonging to a smaller school.
Being surrounded by a majority of French speakers, paired with the fact that approximately 65% of JHS students speak mainly French at home, Joliette High School acts a bastion for the English-speaking community, integrating both French and English Canadian culture. In fact, we are happy to say that many JHS alumni return to work at the school, further solidifying the strong communal sense which the school already has.
Joliette High School offers the regular Quebec high school program from secondary one to five, as well as the Differentiated Path and the Work-Oriented Training Path. Our school is part of the Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board, the English board servicing Laval, Laurentides and Lanaudière.
